What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, mobile number, email, mailing address and preferred language.
  • Application details: the information an insurance company needs to review your application, such as your date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license, work and income, answers to health questions, and the names and details of the people you choose as beneficiaries.
  • Payment details: the bank account or card you choose for your plan payments. We enter these in your application for the insurance company and do not use them for anything else.
  • Documents you send us: for example, a copy of your driver's license, sent by email, text message or WhatsApp.
  • Consent records: when you agree to receive text messages, we record how you agreed, and the date and time.
  • Notes from our conversations with you, so any member of our team can help you.

Where it comes from

Most information comes from you. We also receive contact details from partners that refer drivers to us, when you asked to be contacted about a protection plan.

How we use it

  • To explain our plans and answer your questions.
  • To fill out and submit your application to the insurance company you choose.
  • To keep the documents for your application and policy together in one place.
  • To contact you by phone, email and text message about your application, appointments and policy.
  • To meet the legal and licensing duties of an insurance agency.
  • To prevent fraud and keep your information secure.

When we share it

  • With insurance companies: only the details needed to quote, apply for and service your plan. Each insurance company handles your information under its own privacy notice.
  • With service providers that run our email, files, customer records, phone and text messages, such as Google Workspace, HubSpot and Yeastar Linkus. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • When the law requires it, including requests from insurance regulators.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Security

Only our team can open client records and documents. Each client's documents are kept in a private folder, and information is encrypted while it is sent. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you think your information was used without permission.

Your choices

  • Text messages: reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text to stop messages. Reply HELP for help.
  • Your information: you can ask your High Road Protection representative to see, correct or delete your information at any time. We answer within 30 days.

How long we keep it

We keep your records while you are our client and for as long as insurance laws require after that. If you never become a client, we delete your information within 3 years of our last contact, or sooner if you ask. We keep text message consent records for 5 years to show that we had permission to text you.

Children

Our services are for adults. We collect information about children only when a parent or guardian names them as beneficiaries.

Changes

We may update this policy. We post every change on this page and update the date above. For significant changes, we also tell our clients directly by email or text. If you keep using our services after an update, the updated policy applies.
